Thanks, but how should this help me? my problem is in using MPLAB, since there is not a good user guide. I have a MCS3142 Dual KEELOQ® Encoder Wireless Remote Control Development Kit and i'd like to change the manufacturer key on it and the serial number into the key fob.

    I know there is the plug in and I have already download it.
But still, I would need a complete guide that is not available.
I would need to know all the operation step by step to succeed in at least changing the manufacturer key of the receiver and device key and serial number of the transmitter.
For example:

• at the beginning i do not know If the device to put is the one I am programming (MSC) or the one I would like to simulate on it (HSC);
  
• I do not know which compiler to choose
  
• for a lot of chips I am told from MPLAB that the keeloq plugin is not available
  
• Even when I am able to open the keeloq plugin, then I do not what to do to program the devices
  
  
  
  • Do I have to press something on the board?
    
  • on the manual there is written to put the metallic plaques of the key fob chip on the ICSP connector, but there is not written what to do from MPLAB
    
  • there is written to click on "generate source" and then on "make and program device main project".
    
  
  

I followed the instructions in the guide, I installed the drivers and everything (infact, I can use the keeloq Ultimate GUI without problems).
I honestly find a little bit nonsensical that there is no documentation at all a part from this guide

not even a tutorial or a step by step guide. So if you have any of this, please tell me, it would be very helpful.

Really there is not a complete guide anywhere, and if so, which is the reason? The kit is sold, so there should be plenty of tutorials to explain the buyers how to deal with it...
