下载Windows 7（32位）+ISE12.2下的电缆连接问题

在此之前，我已经在Spartan-3 Starter板和Spartan-3E Starter板上的Windows XP上运行ISE11.1或更早版本的ISE版本。

Before this day, I have been running ISE11.1 or earlier ISE version on Windows XP on Spartan-3 Starter board and Spartan-3E Starter board quite well.  For Spartan-3 Starter board, I used a Parallel Cable III with a parallel-port connection to the PC, a kind of JTAG downloading.  For Spartan-3E, I used a simple USB cable for JTAG downloading.  Both cables are the original gadgets included in the Digilent product boxes.

But then I installed Windows 7 (32-bit version) plus ISE12.2 and ran an old, simple VHDL design to test the new design environment.  The synthesis, implementation and programming file generation were all okay.  When iMPACT was activated for downloading purpose, the JTAG cable was “not connected”, “not found”, or “not powered”.  The PC screen wanted me to run cable setup first.  But “cable setup” still did not work and got the same message.  “Cable auto detect” would not help either.  Either Parallel III cable or USB cable could not be connected.

Do I have to change any system variable or user variable on the Windows 7 (32 bit) environment?  Or, do I have change any setup on the ISE 12.2 installation?
