Since this is older project we doesn't have any source code and functionality of the FPGA. we have only Programming file(Bit file/Bin file). If Xilinx helping on this it is very useful. Xilinx gives you a two-year notice period. I would suggest taking the opportunity to investigate how the system could benefit from a newer chip. Many old designs had an FPGA, a dedicated processor, maybe a dedicated DSP, etc. These days a single integrated chip like a Zynq can do all three roles, for much lower cost and PCB space.
