  The E2969A is not supported under Win7, either the 64 or 32 bit version.

There are no other SW or test suites that you should need to use the PTC, IIRC. It's been a while since I've looked at it.

What other information were you looking for? The E2969A was replaced by the E2969B in 2007. The 'B' version supports Gen2, as well as additional tests.

  Windows 7 not being supported is not a problem, I have one XP license available; I have just realized that
the drivers are being unwrapped in a temporary folder mid-way in the 1.1.0.16 software installation process 
(which could dummy run itself under Windows 7 in XP mode) and installed from there after the USB connectivity 
to the PTC card. Gen 2 PTC is too expensive for me and PCI-SIG says that Gen 1 PTC is still being used.

When asking about other software I was referring to the following mentions and links:

which show more protocol layer specific test suites, as well as the referrals to Intel's Product Development Kit,
