To prevent this in Continuous mode, press: Utilty -> Instr Setup -> Time Out Settings -> Time Out (Off) Or, set a timeout value much larger than the cumulative gate time for all readings in the count. The suggested workaround is effective. Not sure if I can get a "two-for-one" on this question, but I've noticed that frequency measurements with the CONT setting sometimes fail to lock in. The workaround here is to cycle to AUTO (acquisition is immediate) and back to CONT again. Again here I haven't noticed this behavior when using remote commands with SCPI. The remedy is simple, but a fix would be appreciated. |
