I've used the simulator before and based upon that experience was a little surprised to discover that apparently emulation of this device is constrained to only one hardware breakpoint. Looking up the "Device Debug Features" on Microchip's web site indicated that the PIC16LF18323 has one "Prog/Data BP", and that "Runtime BPs" is listed as "Yes". The term "Hardware Breakpoint" - which is used in the REAL ICE User's Guide - doesn't appear in the Device Debug Features list. So, is a hardware breakpoint equivalent to a "Prog/Data BP" or a "Runtime BP", and if it's a Runtime BP why isn't a quantity specified instead of "Yes"... which could mean one or an unlimited number?
