I realize I must be doing something wrong. It is very easy to go wrong with defining the coefficients manually. The menu structure is pretty poorly thought out. I once see a comment that bit was either written by a disgruntled employee or an intern! There are some notes on my website about some of the issues. Personally if I were going to modify a TRL cal kit, then I'd start with one that is similar. The most similar kit I can see in the 8753ES firmware (mine has the latest 7.74) is the 85052C 3.5 mm kit. Note, that the 8753, being a 3-receiver VNA, can't do a true TRL cal - only TRL*. It is best to stick a high quality 6-10 dB attenuator at each cable, so there is a good match. You should be able to find information about that in the 8753ES manual and/or some Agilent application notes. > Can anyone give me some ideas or tell me how to upload from 3.5# disk.
