Here is a round-up of all the places to encounter ON Semiconductor’s latest technologies for a connected world on the go this week.
First off is Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain where we will be demonstrating our solutions for mobile devices that capture vividly clear images, extend battery life and enable high speed data and crystal clear voice communications.
Our newest products include:
- Next generation Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) / Auto Focus (AF) driver,LC898123AXD , offering a premier digital still camera and video experience for smart phones, tablets, notebooks, and wearables, by using advanced auto-focus, and optical image stabilization technologies to overcome the performance limitations of traditional camera modules.
- ‘Plug-and-play’ IoT Platform Development Kit, SENSORRFGEVK, to speed the deployment of wireless passive sensor solutions onto any Internet of Things (IoT) cloud platform; opening up greater opportunities for IoT-based data-acquisition/monitoring enabling the implementation of wireless sensors quickly and effectively into many applications.
- High performance CMOS digital image sensor, the AR1337 incorporates high performance SuperPD™ phase detect autofocus (PDAF) pixel technology, which delivers focus speeds of 300 ms or less - even in low lighting conditions below 25 lux. By utilizing its on-chip PDAF processing the AR1337 drastically simplifies integration into smartphone platforms and improves camera module integrators throughput from simplified calibration compared to other solutions in the market.
Next at Embedded World 2016 in Nuremburg Messe, Germany, ON Semiconductor will be presenting its wealth of hardware for IoT implementation, including microcontrollers, RF transceivers, camera systems and clock generators. We are enabling design engineers to take their ideas for IoT systems from the concept phase and make them a reality.
- Newly released at the show includes the new member of the OmniClock family of devices, the NB3H63143G small form factor, low power, low cost one-time programmable (OTP) clock generator. The OmniClock family offers the most features and flexibility of any programmable clock devices available in the market today, enabling customers to meet their system’s low power requirements while at the same time substantially simplifying board design and the overall system bill-of-materials.
- MatrixCam™ video development kit (VDK) is a compact, low power, 1080p camera solution capable of streaming video over Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections. It supports smart operation, with wake-up initiated via either Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or motion detection through its built-in PIR sensor.
- To support the connectivity that will be vital to next generation applications like IoT, we will also be displaying our latest wireless devices including the NCS36510 ,a highly integrated system-on-chip (SoC) for the implementation of secure wireless networks with the minimum of external components. As well as the AX5043 narrowband, ultra-low power RF transceiver that supports frequency-shift keying (FSK) and amplitude-shift keying (ASK) modulation, delivering 16 decibels-milliwatt (dBm) of output power and -136 dBm sensitivity at 100 bits per second (bps) FSK.
Finally, later in the week we will be presenting our newest image sensor technology for autonomous driving at the Autonomous Cars event in San Francisco, CA.
- Our global shutter sensor, the AR0135 global shutter CMOS image sensor, allows the camera to “freeze” fast moving scene data, while ensuring effective synchronization with pulsed light sources; providing the required eye tracking and gesture detection functionality needed in next generation automotive in-cabin systems. Global shutter technology is key to enabling challenging applications such as automotive driver monitoring and high-speed barcode scanning.
