This has nothing to do with DMM settling time. If you would have properly set up and shorted your DMM, it would settle within seconds to around zero. Please make sure, that you engaged Auto Zero on your 34461A, that your "probes" are low thermal ones, and that the connection junction is really stable regarding temperature, i.e. w/o any external heating. Also chose the correct range for such low voltage readings, i.e. DCV 1V or 100mV range. Frank |
