If possible, remember to use always proper test port adapter set's with cables and not do directly calibration end of the testport cable. Testport adapter connector repeatability is much better and they are manfucatured much tighter tolerances than cable's connectors. VNA cables head part is most sensitive part and it's not good to cause additional mechanical stress connecting calibration standards and DUT's directly on the cable. Our lab's has testport cables which have only NMD(male) connectors. NMD(male) you can fit nicely Keysight test port adapters, because they are equipped with NMD(female). I only checked one at the time, as I was not keen to put a barrel into the NMD test port of my VNA, but instead used my NMD to female 3.5 mm adapter. But I done a few tests to see how much the phase varied when the cables were bent, change in amplitude etc. These cables are about $1300 a pair, which is a lot less than the $5235 for the Keysight 85131F NMD to 3.5 mm. I believe that the $1300 is for any connector combination (including NMD), but I'm not sure. At least on the Agilent 85131F's I'm currently using, the pin depths are around 0.0005", so a lot less than these cheaper cables were. I just checked the manuals for the Keysight 85131F and see the recession is in the range -0.0001 to -0.0005", so they are a lot better controlled than the cables the rep bought to me, and also a lot better than the Megaphase cables you speak of. They are not so expensive and it reflect directly to quality of them. Cable itself is quite nicely done, but problem is the connector part and how cable is attached to connector. I had several Megaphase NMD2.4 to 7mm cables and Agilent 85054B/D kit's 7mm to Type-N testport adapters not worked well with them at all. Somehow 7mm cable connector not done good connection to testport 7mm adapter and near 16-17GHz where huge attenuation spike. I had to put them away. Keysight or Gore cables I have never had such a problems at all. Currently I'm using on my 40GHz VNA setup NMD2.4mm(female) to NMD2.4mm(male) cables on both test ports. I don't see now reasons to use 2.4mm(female) ended tesport cables, because I have needed adapter set's available - When I'm doing 2.4mm DUT calibrations I'm using Keysight 85130G set, 3.5mm works 85130F and 7mm 85130E - Type-N calibrations have to change cables to NMD2.4(female) to 7mm and use 85054B/D calkit's 7mm to Type-N adapters Unfortunately Keysight not currently have available proper test port adapter set from 2.4mm to 2.92mm, but such an adapter can find from another manufacturers.
