Position Description:
?        AVR Applications Engineer

Purpose:
Atmel’s AVR 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers are fast-growing, well-establish products for embedded industrial, commercial and automotive applications and Atmel is looking for talented Application Engineers for the AVR MCU product portfolio.
The candidates must have the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and relish the challenge of a dynamic workplace. You will be part of a highly qualified and growing team of Electrical Engineers, developing microcontroller firmware for AVR customers world-wide.
You will be responsible for assisting our valuable customers in a critical phase of their design. The position therefore requires the use of highly technically skilled engineers with a high dedication to responsiveness and solution-oriented mindset. You will have the opportunity to work with tier-one customers in all industries and segments.

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties:
1.        Customer application support, development of and understanding of customer applications in embedded programming languages (C- and ASSEMBLY, primarily)
2.        Understand customer applications and play a key role in feeding back market needs to the marketing organization.
3.        Development of application notes and design notes for customer-specific or application-specific projects.
4.        Provide the technical interface to customers and sales force during prospecting, evaluation, design-in and post-sales phases.
5.        Assist Product Engineering in the analysis of field returns (FA and RMA).
Requirement & Experience & Qualifications:
1.        3+ years experienced with power electronics design
2.        Familiarity with AC/DC, DC/DC, and smart battery circuit design and related theory
3.        In-depth knowledge of power system architecture
4.        Previous experience in battery field is a big plus
5.        Experience with batter charger especially wireless charger is highly expected.

Position Description:
                Senior Application Engineer for Automotive
Reporting to:
          Director of marketing (Automotive)   

Summary of position:
-Customer facing technical support pillar for automotive products
-To influence design in activities in Key accounts
-To act as application engineer + technical marketing at customer location

Duties:
Key Tasks:
-Local apps engineering role with the responsibility of managing and resolving all technical issues from key automotive accounts, local FAEs (act as first level technical expert with the support from Germany HQ apps core team)
-Developing knowledge in all local car OEM automotive electronics platform (key components, parts, architecture)
-Assist technical support in transfer business
-Driving requirements for reference design platform to enable design in (managing technical partnership)
-Contribute and managing technical requirements funnel for future automotive products development (fit for APAC customers) ; technical marketing role
-Facilitate+assist technical training for local FAEs, local distribution FAEs and sales team focusing on new product launch and other related automotive solution
-Develop & maintain thorough knowledge of Atmel automotive products, their application and competitor positioning
-Implement localized documentation: apps documentation in local language

Position/Skill Requirements
Degree in Electronics, Physics or closely related field
Language qualification (good command of written English)
Must have 3+ years relevant applications+customer facing experience, Automotive RF experience a plus  
Some experience in analog, MCU applications
Familiarity with automotive design tools, design cycle, decision making process a plus
Self starter with no problem with travelling locally + overseas (Korea, Germany)

Preferred Skills:
Fluent In English, Mandarin

Position Description – Tactical Marketing Manager– Shanghai
Purposes
The primary objective of this role is to develop, plan and manage all marketing activities
for MCU Business Unit in Asia; and to define and implement long-term and short-term
marketing tactics to meet the corporate, sales and product strategies.
Responsibilities/duties:
? Manage existing touch customers in conjunction with sales
? Win new Touch and MCU projects and customers
? Understand Touch and MCU applications and solutions
? Manage complex Touch and MCU projects
? Report to Tactical Marketing Director on a weekly basis activities in region
? Advise on competitor activity in region
? Implement strategic pricing policies
? Manage local pricing requests
? Ensure distributors are trained to correct levels and feedback accordingly
? Ensure coherent & professional communication with customer peer groups
? Disseminate technical information & inputs from customers as appropriate
? Support existing products
? Meeting customers on and off site as required
? Adhere to all prevalent company design rules (h/w & s/w) and QA guidelines
? Propose options for new product development resulting from customer feedback and
requests
? To acquire in-depth knowledge of relevant Atmel products and their relative applications
? Participate in team design reviews as appropriate
? Other duties as and when assigned
Requirements
Position/Skill Requirements:
7 to 15 years field Sales, field application or Marketing experience
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with multi-levels of internal and external interfaces
Required regular travel national and international
Able to conduct a first phase technical suggestion for product design/defective analysis at
customer
Capacitive touch applications experience
Microcontroller application experience
A ‘hands-on’ problem solver
Experienced in customer and account management
Language skills:
Fluent in English and Mandarin
Qualifications:
Degree in Electronics Engineering / Science,
Preferably having a MBA degree
